On Tuesday, November 30, our Calgary team was extra busy helping with Calgary Meals on Wheels’ Annual Day of Giving. This national event encourages community philanthropy amid the busy consumer season, and also coincides with the highly recognized GivingTuesday (#GivingTuesday), the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
We had 16 Graham employee volunteers, along with 14 Calgary Safelink Partners volunteers, delivering meals to clients across the City. In addition to volunteering, Graham also sponsored Calgary Meals on Wheels’ Annual Day of Giving, matching donations from the day up to a maximum of $10,000.
The tremendous generosity of all Calgarians came forth as donations on this day surpassed Calgary Meals on Wheels’ goal of $10,000. And with Graham’s matching, $25,500 was raised in a single day, the equivalent of 10,000 meals.
