Willowbrook Shopping Centre – Phase 1 & 2

Phased demolition and Tenant Improvement of an existing shopping centre in Langley.

Phase 1 included demolition of the existing Target store, structural upgrades and the addition of a new loading dock to facilitate future tenant use. Re-demising of the existing space into two separate units along with a new corridor tie in with the existing mall. The exterior envelope was demolished to structure and rebuilt with new exterior metal panels and façade. The mall entrance was updated with significant fritted glazing featuring the new client branding. The work also included the complete tenant fit out for the new Sport Check and Toys R Us big box stores.

Phase 2 is the interior renovation of the mall common areas. The scope of work included all new floors, ceilings and lighting throughout the mall corridors, complete renovation and upgrade of the food court area and the public restrooms. The highlight of the project will be the renovation of the barrel vault, which is the feature corridor in the shopping centre. This renovation will feature a series of suspended ceilings, wood beams and new glazing panels.
