Marked annually in Canada and in the US on April 28, the National Day of Mourning / International Workers Memorial Day is dedicated to remembering those who have lost their lives, suffered injury or illness on the job due to a work-related tragedy.
The National Day of Mourning / International Workers Memorial Day is not only a day to remember and honour those lives lost or injured due to a workplace tragedy, but also a day to collectively renew our commitment to improve health and safety in the workplace and prevent further injuries, illnesses, and deaths.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we encourage our employees and industry peers to mark the occasion by pausing for a moment of silence at 11AM. Our Actively Caring culture prioritizes the health and safety of our people and the protection of our communities, while enabling us to deliver projects in the safest, most responsible manner.
