Strathcona County Public Services Yard
Location: Sherwood Park, AB
The first phase consists of the Pre-Engineered Building with laboratory and mezzanine. The 1,212m2 building includes grade beam and piles with Insulated metal panels, brick veneer, translucent panels, and an extra layer of standing seam wall and roof panels for aesthetics. Sitework includes new parking lot, heated apron slab, and landscaping.
Phase 2 includes the expansion of the County’s current office space by 828m2 on two storeys. The new addition is built of conventional steel structure with aluminum composite panels, metal cladding, FRP panels, and curtainwall. The main floor includes locker rooms, field staff lunchroom, and open workspaces. The second floor includes open workspaces, meeting rooms, training rooms. There is a mechanical penthouse above the second floor. Site work includes new sidewalks, exterior ramp, and courtyard area.
The final phase is the modernization of 4,350m2 of the existing building. Included in our scope are demolition of building interior and exterior back to structure for a full office renovation, including slab and foundation removal and replacement in existing shop area. The exterior includes new aluminum composite panels, metal cladding, FRP panels, and curtainwall. The main floor includes a new reception area, open workspaces, offices, meeting rooms, locker rooms, and traffic control. The second floor includes open workspaces, offices, meeting rooms, and a lunchroom. Sitework includes a parking lot expansion, sidewalks, and landscaping.
