Southwest Bus Rapid Transit (SW BRT) Contract 2: Glenmore South

The City of Calgary awarded Graham as the General Contractor to construct a dedicated transitway stretching approximately 3km along 14th Street SW from Southland Drive to 75th Avenue SW. The project also required a 300m long Cast-In-Place (CIP) retaining wall underpass at 90th Avenue SW with an integrated vehicle bridge and a dewatering lift station. Additionally, the project included construction of a new pedestrian bridge at 90th Avenue SW and the replacement of the existing pedestrian bridge at 75th Avenue SW. Alterations to the road network included upgrades to the junction at 14th Street SW and Southland Drive, 75th Avenue SW, Heritage Drive SW and 90th Avenue SW. This project also involved 300m of removal and replacement of aging track infrastructure located on Heritage Park. Extensive utility upgrades were required for the project, which impacted sanitary, sewer, storm, pipeline, and telecommunication networks throughout the City of Calgary.
