Raleigh Wind Power Project

Location: Merlin, ON

This design-build EPC project consisted of a 78MW wind power project with 52 GE 1.5xle turbines. Graham’s scope of work included 24km (15 miles) of permanent access roads, UG and OH collectors, foundations, erection of the turbines, and substation. The foundations were constructed during winter using an efficient spread footing design. Because site access was not possible at delivery, turbine components were hauled to a temporary laydown yard where they were offloaded and stored, then re-loaded for transport to the site when possible. Turbine erection was initially completed without backfeed power and the turbines were pre-commissioned.
