Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre

The Oakville Southeast Community Centre consists of the following: a lap pool 25-meters in length, six lanes wide and 12 feet deep, its temperature perpetually kept at 29-degrees Celsius; a walking track, 117-meters long and built of Mundo high-performance flooring; a gymnasium with 10,000-square-feet of active space featuring two regulation-sized volleyball courts, four regulation-sized badminton courts, one NBA-sized basketball court, and two youth basketball courts; and a café bar, offering fresh-pressed juices and craft coffee, no less. This 45,000-square-foot community centre, completed in the form of an integrated project delivery, includes a LEED-certified new build as well as renovations to the existing 170,000-square-foot four-storey parking garage that remained on the 14-acre former hospital site. The Oakville Southeast Community Centre was awarded a TCA Project Achievement Award in 2021.
