Taking Action to Inspire, Rise and Empower Women in Construction

October 20, 2021

The National Association for Women in Construction (NAWIC) held their Pacific Northwest Regional Conference in Tacoma, WA last week. Graham was a Gold sponsor and had five women from the Washington offices attend the two-day event.

NAWIC is dedicated to strengthening and amplifying the success of women in the construction industry, empowering them to develop their skills and gain knowledge that can be put to practical use. This sentiment is strongly echoed within Graham, as we cultivate a more diverse and inclusive workforce at all levels within our company; one that is more representative of our communities.

“I’m grateful to work for a company that values my contributions and provides me, and many other women, opportunities for career growth and advancement,” says Colleen Parris, Project Controls Advisor at Graham and one of the five women who attended this year’s conference. “There are so many talented women building and supporting amazing projects. It’s truly inspiring to be part of such a group.”

Graham continues to take an active role in making both our company and the industry a great place for everyone to work.
