Graham is steadily progressing with the construction of the O2 Sussex Residential Tower in Metrotown, Burnaby, BC. The tower will comprise of 285 units, along with an adjacent 4-storey wood-framed building providing 53 rental units, all situated above a 4-level underground parking garage.

O2 Sussex will offer a living experience where health and wellness are integrated into every aspect of the design. Features include steam showers, water purifiers, a walk score of 79, and proximity to Central Park.

Project Update:

  • Excavation commenced 8 months ago in May 2023, and to date, we have completed shoring, bulk, and detailed excavation.
  • Concrete forming is currently underway, with preparations for pouring the North side P3 deck by January 26, 2024.
  • Slab on grade for the entire site is scheduled for completion by mid-February 2024.
  • On the South side, progress is being made with footing, column, and wall installations, with waterproofing ahead of wall forming and footing install.
  • Plumbing work is ongoing, focusing on catch basins, sub-drains, perimeter drains, and sump pits.
  • Electrical work is progressing with in-slab rough-ins.
  • Underground Civil works on Sussex Avenue is ongoing, with the removal of existing overhead utility lines expected to be completed by March 2024.
  • Slab on Grade for the North section of the site was completed on January 6, 2024.
