More Parking at Surrey’s Central City

March 2, 2021

The Central City Parkade Expansion project in Surrey, BC successfully achieved substantial completion and occupancy.

The project increases capacity of an existing four-storey parking structure with the addition of two new levels. It also improves access to the adjacent building with a new 60 ft. curved pedestrian bridge. New landscaping and programmable façade lighting were also part of the project’s scope.

Graham built roughly 116,000 sq. ft. of new parking deck – approximately the same area as seven NHL hockey rinks, or one Canadian football field (including end zones), or 25 NBA courts.

The project was a collaborative effort with between our Buildings and Infrastructure teams, allowing us to self-perform much of the concrete work including, formwork, shore and placement.
