CALGARY, AB – Graham Income Trust (GIT) Chair Dave Sutherland announced his retirement from the Board. Mr. Sutherland served as Chair for nine years and the organization greatly benefitted from the leadership, expertise and contributions to the company under his tenure.
Brian Shelton, a current Independent Board Member, has been appointed GIT Chair of the Board. Brian joined GIT as a Board Member in February 2022, and assumed the role of Chair of the Audit Committee in August 2023. Brian has brought tremendous value and extensive experience in large service organizations and specifically construction to the employee-owned North American construction company.
Brian previously held positions with Jacobs Engineering and CH2M Hill, and latterly as CFO on the Board of American Civil Constructors. With 21-plus years of experience in senior leadership roles in the engineering and construction industry, he also brings extensive knowledge in capital transactions in mergers and acquisitions in the global marketplace. He has the strategic vision to deliver results and create environments where change is successful. Brian brings experience with stakeholder management and the development and execution of corporate strategies.

Brian holds a master’s degree from London Business School and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Arizona State University. Brian is an accredited Director with the National Association of Corporate Directors, the leading American director’s association comprised of over 23,000 corporate directors.
