A Resurgence for Fountain Park

February 22, 2022

Built in 1978, Fountain Park Recreation Centre is a core recreational facility for the City of St. Albert, AB. It includes three swimming pools, a multi-purpose court, meeting rooms and a children’s play area, and provides numerous recreational programs throughout the year.

After serving the community for over 40 years, Fountain Park Recreation Centre is getting some much-needed lifecycle repairs. Graham was recently awarded the $10.3M construction management contract, which is split into two phases to minimize disruptions to the facility and its users.

Phase I will take place this year and includes mechanical, fire and security protection system and natatorium upgrades. Phase Two of this work is scheduled to take place in 2024 and planning is underway.

This is one of the first construction management projects the City of St. Albert has issued, and Graham is proud to be rehabilitating such a key facility for the City and its residents.
