New Beta Innovation Manufacturing Facility

This project involved an addition and tenant improvements to the existing New B Innovation pharmaceutical building in Burnaby, BC and the installation of a 13,000 sq. ft. clean room. There is a very intricate mechanical scope of work with many of the pharmaceutical manufacturing components associated. The cleanroom ceiling was designed to carry people for maintenance purposes etc., this featured a suspended system from the roof by high tension cable with seismic requirements.

Due to the high level of cleanliness required, during the construction of the cleanroom designated entry and exit zones were created and managed very stringently to ensure the correct levels of GMP cleanliness were achieved for workers in the cleanroom. A sign in and sign out and special suits were used for this process to ensure any contamination was minimized.

The facility, which met and exceeded the owner’s budget, schedule and quality expectations, is fully operational allowing their business to perform as intended.
