Kelsey Hall Redevelopment

The Lister Residence Community consists of four (4) towers. Three (3) towers, often referred to as the Lister Classics were constructed in 1962 (Kelsey Hall and Henday Hall) and in 1968 (Mackenzie). The 4th tower, Mary Schaffer Hall was constructed in 2003 with a new 5th building named Thelma Chalifoux Hall completed in the fall of 2018 which are connected at the lower level to the existing Lister Residence Community at the podium level under Mackenzie Tower. Together all buildings will house near 2200 undergraduate students – predominately first and second year students.

Graham has been selected to be the general contractor for the renovation of a Lister Classic tower, Kelsey Hall. This renovation of Kelsey Hall will include the modernization and renewal of suites, common spaces, washrooms, social areas, study rooms, kitchen and general utility areas. Refurbishment of all areas, improved building systems, elevators, exterior and building envelope upgrades, heating, lighting, ventilation, fire suppression, building code upgrades are included along with other transforming improvements. The current suite configuration and approximate bed count are to be maintained.
