Kearl East Pit OCA & RMS8 Civil Works
Location: Wood Buffalo, AB
Graham’s scope of work included mobilization, demobilization, reclamation material salvage and the installation of drainage, culverts, and road infrastructure to support future mine development of the East Pit. Located east of the existing Kearl Oil Sands Mine and processing plant, the East Pit advance will provide future feed for the facility. The removal of 2.6M BCM of reclamation materials, installation of dewatering ditches, roads and drainage/laydowns will facilitate the future direction of the mine.
