Husky Ethanol Project

Husky contracted Graham to provide engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning services for a new ethanol plant with capacity of 130 million litres per year.

The basic components of the project include: a grain handling facility and associated material handling systems; a grain milling facility, a fermenter (field-erected tanks), process equipment, distillation and dehydration process systems, an evaporator, centrifuges and dryers for DDGS co-product, a cooling tower, ethanol storage tanks complete with truck and rail load-out systems, and DDGS storage. Engineering included detailed civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation design based on a process design provided by the owner.

All work was done adjacent to an existing oil upgrading plant and co-generation plant with numerous tie-ins to existing services.
