Holy Trinity Catholic High School

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Holy Trinity High School was originally designed by iconic Canadian Architect, Douglas Cardinal and built in the early 1980’s. Originally designed to be a full circle with an interior courtyard; only half of the circle was built. The school has a high intake and is home to over 1,200 students and teachers. The school had reached its capacity and was overcrowded.

In 2018 Graham was awarded the contract to complete a full interior architectural, mechanical, and electrical renovation as well as construct a new addition to house 14 classrooms, a new gymnasium and change rooms and Learning Commons. The plans included for demolition of the main entry and the construction of a new two-storey pop-up clerestory. Construction was completed within a fully operational and active school; meaning a high degree of coordination with project stakeholders was required.
