Helping Students Gear Up for Back to School

September 14, 2020

This past August, Graham participated in White Buffalo Youth Lodge’s (WBYL) annual Backpack Drive, which raises funds and distributes backpacks to underprivileged children and youth between kindergarten and grade 12.

This year, WBYL put together and distributed 1,500 backpacks containing pencils, binders, rulers hand sanitizer and more. Graham proudly donated $7,500 towards this important initiative, and four of our employees generously volunteered their time packing bags and distributing them.

WBYL is governed by the Saskatoon Tribal Council, and is dedicated to improving the quality of life and health for children, youth, young adults and their families in the inner city through integrated, holistic support services. It is a multipurpose centre used during the day for educational classes, functions, meetings. In the late afternoon/evening it serves as a youth recreational facility fostering a safe and fun environment for all to participate in. WBYL programs and services are open to children, youth and families, free of charge.
