One of our Graham project teams in Ontario found themselves with a surplus of 11 brand new toilets. Instead of letting them go to waste, the team donated the extra supply to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore in the Greater Toronto Area. The ReStore sells re-purposed, recycled or surplus household construction materials at a discounted rate to consumers. All donations and purchases from the ReStore directly support Habitat for Humanity home building projects. Graham’s donation came in at a value of $2,700, providing much needed support to Habitat for Humanity in Toronto. Donations to the ReStore are also an exercise in environmental management, as these products are diverted from the landfill and recycled for use in homes.
