Fort Walsh Dorm

Location: Saskatoon, SK

The Fort Walsh Dorm Project comprised a 7,004 sq. m (75,401 sq. ft.), three-storey, cast-in-place concrete building located at the Regina RCMP Training Depot to provide accommodation for up to 180 RCMP Cadets. The building shell is complete with brick veneer, cementitious panel, and aluminum curtain wall framing. The building interior showcases an open clerestory from the main to upper roof including glued laminated stair treads with aluminum and glass handrail; polished and sealed exposed concrete, ceramic, rubber and resilient flooring throughout. Oak casework and slat ceilings are also present. This project involved high security requirements of Public Works Canada and RCMP Depot Division. In depth security/background checks were required for all personnel on this project.
