Douglas College Student Housing & Academic Building

In order to meet demand and expand services to students, Douglas College plans to add a new 10-storey Academic Building and a 13-storey, 326-bed Student Housing Building adjacent to the existing campus.

The new Academic building will comprise 36 standard classrooms, an 80-seat classroom, a high-technology simulation lab, 6 standard computer labs and 3 collaboration classrooms.

In addition, the building will have office space to accommodate 165 faculty spaces, 247 student study spaces, 9 student collaborative breakout / meeting rooms, a 160-capacity student lounge area, office space for 28 staff employees, a staff lounge and dining services. The Student Housing Building will be built adjacent to the new Academic Building and the two will share an integrated structural podium.

Graham is delivering preconstruction services and will commence construction in Summer/Fall 2022.
