Clarington Police Complex

Location: Bowmanville, Ontario

Perched on the corner of Bowmanville’s Highway 2 and Maple Grove Road, Durham’s Clarington Police stations stands slightly elevated from its surrounding landscape, overlooking the community that it serves. Phase one of the police complex cumulated in the construction of two buildings arranged in an L-shape: the 49,000-square-foot East Division Building and the 23,500-square-foot Forensic Investigation Facility. The East Division Building, a non-combustible, one-storey steel-frame structure, includes administrative, investigative, patrol, and operational offices. At the center of the building, Graham constructed an open-roof courtyard, allowing natural light to filter into adjacent work and lounge spaces.
