City of Regina Waste Management Centre Operations Facility

Located next to the existing landfill, this 6,814 sqm (73,345 sqft) facility consists of several offices and cubicles supporting 90 city employees from several departments. It also has 6 boardrooms and an educational space from which the staff will facilitate learning opportunities to raise awareness surrounding the importance of waste management and reducing the impact on the environment.

The maintenance shop boasts a de-muck room fitted with water cannons to remove heavy soil and a stand-alone touchless drive through truck wash. Both are complete with their own water reclamation. Five overhead doors for dedicated shop space, six compactor and dozer bays and five repair bays for the landfill equipment make up the rest of the building all with drive through access. It also includes heated and cold storage spaces.

Work outside of the facility included the landscaping, the installation of an industrial fuel station, an employee parking lot with 181 stalls and 28 additional parking stalls for landfill equipment on the west & east side of the building.
