Central at Garden City
Location: Richmond, British Columbia
Central at Garden City is an urban shopping centre of approximately 625,000 sq. ft. of prime retail space located at the intersection of Garden City and Alderbridge Way. Significant coordination was necessary to accommodate multiple tenants including anchor stores such as Walmart, Marshalls, and Bed, Bath and Beyond.
The West Parcel consists of an open-air lifestyle village with seven buildings and a five-storey above-grade parking structure, while the East Parcel consists of a three-storey Walmart Supercentre with commercial retail units located on the ground floor.
In addition to the range of shops and services, Central at Garden City offers amenities and public spaces for the local community. The project was also designed and constructed with several environmental sustainability features, including heating and cooling with green energy provided by the adjacent District Energy Utility, built by Graham directly for the City of Richmond as part of the project.
