This past December, Graham had the opportunity to get involved in the FIRST® LEGO® League Jr. Calgary Expo! This year’s theme was “architecture” and children from all over the world, aged 6-10, worked in teams to create a LEGO® structure that incorporated a crane or elevator into their project. Using LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 code, the five teams were instructed to make their cranes or elevators move! Every team documented their work and created a visual, such as poster, to chronicle their journey.
Building exceptional facilities and structures is our passion, and we’re always excited to encourage that same passion for the STEM areas in kids. Our own Brent Stratton, Project Manager at Graham, acted as a “Reviewer” at the event, providing valuable feedback related to the participants’ strengths. Since this is a non-competitive experience, every team was acknowledged with a medal and recognized for their hard work.
