Anderson Road Pedestrian Overpass (C15114)

Location: Calgary, AB

This project involved the construction of a single span steel arch truss structure with precast concrete deck panels to serve as a connection for the regional pathway system in the area. Bridge access ramps consisted of Redi-Rock retaining walls, cast-in-place copings, and cast-in-place radius wingwalls to tie into the bridge structure. The pedestrian bridge spans over Anderson Road between the communities of Woodbine and Cedarbrae, presenting a challenging work area due to proximity to both traffic and neighbouring communities.

“The City of Calgary felt that this was a fantastic project and were happy with how smooth this project went. There were delays with heavy rains and associated risks with erosions and sediment control however The City felt that Graham’s team led by Angela Doig and Cam Dougall were very responsive to any concerns and handled the project with excellence.”
