Amazon DMW1 & DMW2 Distribution Facilities

Graham completed two Amazon distribution warehouses to service Winnipeg and the surrounding region. Our teams were quick to identify Amazon’s requirements and fulfill their schedule and quality needs. Both projects were completed on time with high praise from the client. Work began in Fall 2020 to fit up two existing older buildings for Amazon’s use.

The scope included major modifications to the buildings including sectional demolition and replacement with pre-engineered structures, upgrades to the electrical and mechanical systems, as well as an open-air canopy addition with piling and structural steel. Each building houses over 100,000 square feet of warehouse space and includes a front office area, large break room, hub staging area, as well as a multifaith area with ablution rooms. On the exterior, over 500,000 square feet of heavy-duty asphalt surrounds both buildings, as well as new land drainage systems and landscaping throughout. This parking area houses a fleet of Amazon vans that load up in their designated station to sort and deliver packages to customers within the Winnipeg region.
