Red Deer Regional Hospital Parkade
Location: Red Deer, AB
The Red Deer Hospital Parkade involved the construction of a 1,100 stall, five-storey parkade with a total area of 436,000 square feet. Built on the southeast corner of the active hospital campus, it provides much-needed additional parking for patients, visitors and staff.
The structure is built with the ability to add two additional levels in the future, and architectural finishes consist of white Portland cement, curtain wall, aluminum screening, and metal cladding. Specifically, the white Portland cement allowed it to fit in with adjacent buildings, lowered future maintenance costs, and enhanced the exterior finish.
The project was successfully completed on a compressed 12-month schedule in order to limit the disruption that construction would have on parking at the hospital.
