Kearl MSF South Building & Wash Bay
Location: Wood Buffalo, AB
This new facility will replace the existing mine mobile equipment maintenance and service facility (MSF). It will fill the support needs of mining maintenance, through the installation of administration and warehouse spaces, outdoor laydown, support maintenance equipment bays and a separate drive through wash bay facility. As selected to complete the design-build of Phase 1, Graham’s scope of work includes:
- Construction of a 7,144 m2 MSF South Building, which will feature a new parts storage warehouse, office facilities and four maintenance bays for Kearl’s support maintenance equipment
- A 947 m2, multi-level wash bay facility which will have the capacity to service Kearl’s heavy duty mining support equipment
- Roads, ramps, ditches and grading
- The MSF building & warehouse is designed with expansion in mind. Graham will be involved with the execution of Phase 1 which will set precedence for future opportunity to execute Phase 2 – HDMS Bays and Phase 3 – SME Bays 5-8.
