Kaleidoscope

Location: Calgary, AB

This project comprised a six-storey, mixed-use building that targets affordable housing. It consists of one level of underground parking with car wash and bike storage, offices and a café on the main floor, and five floors of residential apartments above for a total of 70 units.

The upper floors feature finished concrete flooring and each level has its own shared laundry. The café is designed in a unique triangular shape for a prominent appearance and features its own roof-top patio. Bright exterior colors were selected specifically for a dynamic appearance with cool colours on one side of the building and warm colors on the other. Located adjacent to the University of Calgary, the project’s target audience was students.
